#1 selling vaporizer on eBay!
Oxalic acid vaporization caught our attention when many European beekeepers said that it was hard on mites but easy on brood and bees. However, the vaporizers were very expensive, and we were confident we could engineer a less costly but comparable product, so we decided to make our own.
Our Vaporizer
Our vaporizer is designed using high-quality materials but doesn’t cost a fortune like other vaporizers. Some of the materials included in our design are aircraft-grade aluminum, 12 gauge wire, and oak hardwood. We like to say it is the lowest costing, highest quality vaporizer out there.Â
How Oxalic Acid Works
Oxalic acid vaporization has been used in European countries for many years but until recently it was illegal in the United States. Oxalic acid is a naturally organic chemical found in plants and used as a defense mechanism against herbivores. Oxalic acid was registered as a pesticide in 1957 and works to break down the varroa mites exoskeleton system. Vaporization is one of the easiest treatments on the market as it does not require breaking apart the colony to treat. Studies have shown that oxalic acid has a 95 % kill rating in a broodless period in hives. So, oxalic acid vaporization is an organic treatment that you don’t have to open the hive to use and it has a 95 % kill rate.
Customer Reviews
- “This takes less than 5 minutes to completely vaporize 3 grams of oxalic acid. My battery was not fully charged though, Solid materials, well constructed with strong components and a nice handle and included a tube of superglue to glue the handle on. I recommend this to any beek!” – eBay Customer
- “This product is as good as any other I have seen on the internet and half the price.” – eBay Customer
- “The vaporizer heats quickly, and cools quickly for use in the next hive. The cord is nice and long, allowing me to use the same battery for heating more than one vaporizer at a time.” – eBay Customer
- “Got the Vaporizer in 4 days, used it on two hives right away. Worked like it should!” – Amazon Customer

About Blue Ridge Bee Company
William and Emily became interested in beekeeping when they learned about the massive die-offs of honey bees around the world. After much studying, they started their honey operation in 2014. Each year, the company has grown and expanded. Part of that growth was designing the Blue Ridge Bee Company Oxalic Acid Vaporizer.
At first, Will and Emily found themselves using harsh chemicals to treat their hives during Spring and Autumn. Oxalic Acid Vaporization caught their attention when many European beekeepers said it was hard on mites but easy of brood and bees. The vaporizers were expensive, and that’s when they decided to design their own without the price.
Blue Ridge Bee Company took another significant step in their growth in 2019 when they opened the doors to their store.
